My niche store started generating revenue 4 days after launch!

That’s right, I launched a niche store that started generating revenue just 4 days after launch!

Many people worry about how long it might take them to generate revenue with a niche site or a niche store. They see these sites as super long-term projects were they will have to invest endless hours to hopefully see some return months from now, if lucky.

That is probably true to a certain extend. A niche site does need a few months in order to grow its content archive, gain the much needed trust from search engines and operate at its full potential. However, if you take the time to do your research properly and pick the right niche you can start seeing results way earlier, in my case as early as 4 days after launch!

On December 13th 2015 I launched a niche store specialized in teeth whitening products and solutions. I started with a catalog of 107 products, varying from teeth whitening toothpastes to more advanced teeth whitening bleaching kits.

I submitted my sitemap to Google and even though I’m not ranking on the first page (not even close) for my target keywords I did start seeing some organic long tail traffic from day one, which was already exciting.

Then today, December 17th 2015, only five days after launching the site, I logged in to my associates dashboard like I do every day and there it was. First sale was made on December 16th, and actually it wasn’t a single product that I sold but 12 of them!

Since Amazon does not share the exact commission you made on each sale until the items are shipped I don’t know exactly how much I made from these sales, but based on my calculations it’s going to be around 7-8€, which is definitely not much, but confirms the fact that the niche is a winner and encourages me to keep adding content and perfecting the site.

I hope this case study gives you the confidence you need in order to start building your first niche site (or your next one if you already have one), and remember you can join the 2016 Niche Site Challenge in order to make your project not only profitable but also a lot more fun and exciting.

  1. Hi Guillermo,
This is very encouraging! Thanks for sharing.

  2. Hi Guillermo,

Looks like you’re off to a good start. It’s a pretty good niche to get into.

I wonder if dropshipping could yield you a better profit though? Even a few dollars profit per item (which I believe would be possible in the teeth whitening niche) would at least quadruple what you’re getting now.

Anyhow, best of luck with the new site!

Hi Ash, thank you for your feedback, I hadn’t thought about dropshipping for this niche, I’ll definitely look into it now that you mentioned it!

  3. Wow. You’re way ahead Guillermo! I’ll start working on my niche site this weekend. :)

  4. Hi Guillermo!

First of all, I want to thank you for a willing heart to help when asked!
    Thank you very much!
Secondly, I am in awe seeing that it is still possible to see quick success in building niche sites despite the general word going around that it takes at least 4-6 month easily to, hopefully, seeing the first revenue fruits after hard labor internet work.
    You are a true inspiration!
